it all depends on if you are what they want. just because you might get rejected doesn’t mean that you aren’t good enough, ever.

You have a 1980 SAT score, which is very good, considering the national average is about 1450. You are involved in sports, you work, too, and you are active in clubs. Notre Dame and USC are very hard to get into schools, though too.

You have everything most colleges want, and should want. I hope that you get your acceptance letters.

As odd as it sounds, 3.795 might be a little weak for SC. Remember that every 4.0 kid west of the Rockies is submitting an app to USC, UCLA, Berkeley, & Stanford. Contact an Admissions advisor ASAP. My eldest daughter had a similar GPA with a slightly weaker SAT and USC rejected her without prejudice 5 yrs ago. She ended up at UNLV. Notre Dame… no clue, but I believe it’s a smaller student body, so could be even harder. Remember that there are plenty of other great schools on the West Coast and in the Western half of the country. Pepperdine, Loyola Marymount, UC San Diego, UC Irvine, USF, BYU.

I would start by not telling each school that you are applying to the other. USC vs. ND is not only one of the biggest football rivalries in history but they call their annual meeting Catholics vs. Condoms for a reason. The schools are very different from each other.

All joking aside, to make your already solid application stand out from the rest.you should make it clear in your application essay why you think that school is truly the best fit for you.
