    A suggestion would be to get rid of the registration fee and allow sponsors to sponsor your site. You’d probably make more that way anyway if your site becomes a high traffic zone. As well, allow more than one category since most fine-arts artists excel/practice/gifted in more than one category. Perhaps listing already known profiles as well as allowing photographers, musicians, artists, models, etc to post their actual artist portfolios online as well; that would make the $50 worthwhile.
